When Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint decided to open a pub/restaurant in downtown Chattanooga in the hallowed location of the legendary Yesterday’s, they decided this would be their best location to date for their brand of burgers and beer.
One of the elements Jack Brown required to make this their best location was a rockin’ audio system. They called on AV Simplified Solutions to deliver just that. For maximum audio performance in their small space that would not accommodate a large number of speakers or subwoofers, we brought out the big guns in the form of Sonance 8″ pendant speakers suspended from the ceiling with a powerful Sonance amplifier that could handle pumping out the power for days on end.
In the end, the audio is loud enough for the most raucous burger eaters and beer drinkers. Do yourself a favor and find your way downtown for some rock n’ roll with a burger and a beer in this unique joint in the old Yesterday’s location.
This ridge top outdoor audio/video installation in East Brainerd features a robust sound system with buried subwoofers and satellite speakers and three outdoor TVs.
The quality of audio is a defining factor for any entertainment experience. Today’s speaker and amplification technology makes it possible for pool side entertainment like never before.
We integrated this house in Ooltewah from top to bottom including pre-wire, electronics, automation and control, lighting, and electrical. This job was a complete synergy between our electronic systems integration and electrical division. The house features a media/theater room with projection and an additional two TVs. An Elan g! control systems for automation integrates the electronics system and lighting with multiple touch pads and remote controls through out the house.
A complete outdoor audio system was installed on a patio and porches with a diverse assortment of speakers including buried sub woofers, weather proof and in-ceiling speakers. Many of the speakers in the pool area are hidden within the landscaping (as the photos below attest). Lutron Homeworks QS was used to control the sophisticated lighting plan and integrates completely with the Elan automation system.
A surveillance system was installed with various points of camera positions and a digital video recorder for security. Additionally, we installed a generator to provide back up power for the entire house.
Our 2 Channel room which also doubles as an entry level 5.1 surround sound system (using in-wall speakers) features Monitor Audio Gold 300 and Monitor Audio Reference 4 speakers. Amplification for these speakers is provided by a Yamaha stereo amplifier. For our clients who enjoy vinyl, we have an Audio Technica turntable to demonstrate the Monitor Audio speakers with LPs. Otherwise, we are using Autonomic Control’s Mirage Media System to stream high bit rate digital audio.
It is our opinion that the Monitor Audio speakers are best in class, out performing similar priced speakers from B&W, KEF and others. We believe, that you would have to spend much more money to begin to come close to the over all sound quality of these Monitor Audio speakers.
This home on Elder Mountain just outside Chattanooga, was one of our largest installations to date. Almost every skill and service we offer was employed to make this home one of the most modern homes in the Chattanooga area. Some of the highlights of this installation are:
The entire property, including outdoor areas, are controlled by the latest control system from Elan (gSC10) with “on screen” displays in 16 TV locations. Throughout the house, there are multiple touch screen and remote controls to allow access to the control system anywhere in the home. The control system along with every other device lives on our managed network. All the lighting is controlled by Lutron Homeworks QS with motion/occupancy sensors to automate the lighting system. In addition to line-voltage lighting, we installed Lutron automated shades to control natural light.
The indoor audio system is anchored by Monitor Audio’s Gold series speakers and Fusion Audio Servers with numerous zones of audio and video. The indoor audio extends to the outdoor areas and pool area. Along with the audio, the outdoor area and pool area are anchored by 80″ outdoor TVs on motorized lifts and mounts and concealed while not in use.
Two features of interest that are a little outside the normal scope of an installation is the 1 million BTU, 3 stage fire feature that is remote control via the Elan control system and the automated privacy glass that separates the pool area main living quarters.
As an added benefit, the entire system including power and control system can be managed remotely.
Our showroom is ever-changing with new products and new technology. It is important to us and is an integral part of sales process for homeowners.
Let’s face it, it is difficult for many of our clients to understand the intricacies of a control system, distributed audio and video, and the aesthetics of sound. The showroom allows us to bring the abstract into reality.
Our showroom includes a custom home theater with an integrated Elan g! control system, Sunfire home theater speakers and subwoofers, a high-contrast screen and Sony projector — all powered by Yamaha Aventage.
We have a dual purpose media room that serves as a 5.1 surround system with an entry level speaker system and a moderately high end 2 channel listening room with Monitor Audio speakers. The media room is also outfitted with a URC control system with basic lighting control integrated.
In our conference room, we demonstrate standard in-ceiling speakers, with both Autonomics and Sonos distributed or multi-room audio. Of course, all this tied together with Elan g! as the control system.
